Curator’s Notes
Males (as shown) are bright blue, and females are deep brown in colour. Both with distinctive black markings which cross the white edging on the wing. Primarily found in the south of the UK.
Artist's Notes
I loved the blue colour of this butterfly, and that was the main reason I wanted to draw it.
